Following the 50th anniversary year, the Stotes Hall committee saw considerable change. The meeting at Jesmond Library thanked Ralph for his incomparable contribution, from creating our wonderful organic site to carrying out the Secretary role for an unbroken half century!
Following a report from Treasurer John Farrington, the Annual Accounts were approved. The transition of management from Urban Green back to Newcastle City Council had resulted in the ending of the "blanket" insurance cover for all allotments, plus a change in the pattern or rental payment to the council. This resulted in the need for a subs increase to cover costs and maintain an adequate cash flow - the meeting agreed.
